Members of the U.S. coronavirus task force led by U.S. Vice-President Mike Pence provided an update on their efforts towards containing and combating the spread of the novel coronavirus. Pence gave update on the government efforts in expanding testing capacity in commercial and state labs across the U.S. and also addressed the government agreement with insurance companies to waive co-pays for COVID-19 testing. As well, Dr. Anthony Fauci from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) said "what's happening is not a surprise to anybody if you look at the history of infectious diseases."
